^Lot 1241 Bowie Knife with Scabbard

Knife is 14-3/4" overall with a highly polished 9-3/4" blade stamped with "James & Lowe. Sheffield" on the ricasso and etched with "I am the conquering hero" on a field that includes lions. There is also a rendition of a federal crest showing an eagle clutching arrows. The spine has notches made into it. The handle is hardwood and the pommel and hilt are metal. The scabbard is with metal trimmed throat and tip and has no belt loop. Blade is starting to show some surface rust.
